She connected my with real estate agent Scott Jones. He negociated the best possible terms. Alberto Barba, my loan officer guided me through the process of submitting all the documents needed. Brandon Viar, the loan specialist, kept me on the straight and narrow underwriting path up to the last minute. And Shari Wooldridge helped explain the closing costs, which was really weighing on my mind throughout the process.
The team kept things moving quickly. In a month, I had the keys to my first home.

Torri Thomas, who was our loan officer was superb in all aspects of the loan process. She was there 24/7 to answer all of our questions and explain complex language that are typical on these types of documents to layman's terms that can be easily understood even to us common folks. She was very patient and always gave us the heads-up on what to expect next, so there were never any surprises that we did not know about, so we never felt over or heads with all the paperwork that comes with buying a new home. Torri always makes you feel like she has your back and for that we felt very comfortable though the whole process.Kristine Wilder was part of our loan team, and she kept the process moving along by sending reminders of items that needed our attention or by working with the underwriters to make sure our application moved forward without any problems.Veterans United are very lucky and should be proud to have Torri and Kristine on their staff representing them and working with veterans like us to assist us in bettering our lives and our families' lives....Thank you once again Ms. Thomas and Ms. Wilder for all that you do!

Veterans United made the process of buying a home so easy for us. This was our first time buying a home together, and we have heard many horror stories in the past. We were concerned that our experience buying a home would be like those stories. Our experience with Veterans Unoted was quite the opposite. We were kept abreast of where we were in the process. Veterans United gave us far more information than we expected to receive about interest rates, the economy, and how the two were related.I would like to say very directly that Zach, Deena, and their team specifically made this process easy. Working with them felt like a dream in comparison to other stories I heard. Zach was in constant communication with me during the process. He reached out to me often to ensure my wife and I understood what was happening at each point during the process. He was always available to answer any questions that we had. Deena was just as responsive and very proactive, to include submitting inquiries with the lawyers handling the selling side of this deal. If there was information that was required and the sellers did not provide it, Deena sent professional reminders that she was still in need of items.Zach and Deena were on top of things, every second of the way. So much so, the selling agent thought that Zach and his team worked at the local Veterans United office here in Augusta. Both agents (buying and selling) sung the praises of Zach and the team. When I purchase another home I will certainly be using Veterans United again, because I only want to work with Zach. So understand, if Zach goes... I go. Lol, just joking.
